More news on Major Taylor's Skatepark

A new blog has been posted on Major Taylor's Myspace page with a link to an article from the Indiana Business Journal discussing the deal with Marion College to buy the Major Taylor's Biking Complex. The big problem is that in this article it didn't even mention the park, which Marion wants to either get rid of or charge admission and have set hours to the park. Every big city needs a great public park. This will be a huge mistake for the city and a travesty for any skater or biker in the indianapolis area. There is a committee that is going to be started very soon to fight this. Check out the blog on MT's page for more info on joining.

Seth Andrews 2008 Mini Profile

Seth Andrews 2008 Mini Profile from Seth Andrews
Click the link to see the full HD version.
"So this is pretty much my 1st section that I've ever had...I've always been the one filming. This summer I filmed and skated a lot and was able to get a handful of clips together. I was going to wait and film more this coming summer for a full section as a bonus on the Indiana Inline dvd but I decided that I should probably focus more on filming other people. Anyways, I hope you like it."

Ollies Late Night Session This Saturday (12/6) 12AM - 4AM

Some guys just posted this up on Be-mag.com's messageboard. So far it looks like it will be $20 per person but the more people that show up the less it will be for everybody. This will be a rollerblader only session with mini comps going on throughout the night. Looks like a pretty good time...hit up the messageboard if you're interested in going so people can work out ride details.

Download "Rolling" for the XBOX

Vince just posted up all the info you'll need to download and install Rolling the game onto your modded XBOX...yeah this game is old news but it never came out in the US and it's pretty fun. If you need help getting your XBOX modded you can also find that information in his post he made on the messageboard. It's all done with software so all you need is an XBOX and some help from Vince. He'll probably do it for you if you toss him some coin.

1st Indiana Inline Winter Skate Trip - Ollies Skatepark (11/22)

So I know this is sort of last minute but this Saturday (11/22) we'll be making a trip to Ollies Skatepark in Florence, KY. If you would like to ride with anybody or roll with the caravan make sure to hit up the messageboard so we're all on the same page. The park opens at 11AM and we'll probably be there until 3PM which means we need to leave by 9AM. If you're riding with me(Seth) then you'll need to be at my house by 9 at the latest. So far it looks like I've still got some room in my car so hurry up and post on the board if you want a ride. Gas will be only 3 or 4 bucks a person. See you there!

No more Tuesday Night Skate until next spring...

That's right...it's just getting too cold to have a weekly skate night. Keep a look out for an update soon with details on an upcoming trip to an indoor park somewhere out of state. It'll be either a saturday or sunday in the next 3 to 4 weeks. It'd be awesome if we could get a bunch of people from different cities together for this one. Teaser for Indiana Inline's 1st video coming sooner than last time I said it was coming soon.

Indianapolis Tuesday Night Skate - 8/12 Zionsville

The next Tuesday Night Skate (8/12) will be at the new Zionsville Skatepark at 6PM . It's so new I can't even find a picture of it. Eric posted the directions on the messageboard...here they are.

To get to the park from 465 from the west side:
Get off at the 86th street exit and turn right(east). The first road you come to is Zionsville Rd, take a left(north). When you get to 96th street turn left(west) and take it all the way to the park.

To get to the park from 465 from the east:
Get off at the Michigan Rd exit and turn right(north). Turn into the far left lane because at that first light (96th St) you want to turn left(west). Follow it all the way to the skatepark. 96th St turns into Ford Rd, which goes past a small shopping area with lots of food. Right behind the stores is a low handrail you can see from the road. But keep going and the skatepark is maybe a mile farther on the left had side. You turn left on Mulberry Rd and then another left into the park.

All for $25.
1st place for Open division gets $300, some product, and brass knuckles 1st place for 25 and Up gets brass knuckles and product 1st place for Ladies division gets brass knuckles and product 1st place for Beginner division gets product and a stern lecture about helmet safety, by Seth Andrews (hahahaha).
